SAN VICENTE DEL RASPEIG

The library was conceived as a continuation of the square, with a platform fold that rises from the dividing wall forming a helical spatial envelope with its ascending ramp. The public and participatory activity within the building can be contemplated from the outside, while the symbolic weight is carried by the ascending itinerary towards knowledge. Pedestrians are led inside following a spiral of books, accompanied and protected by light. The urban environment is left behind, giving way to a more intimate place, where one is trapped by silence.
