The Lab_Nucia project has won the Architizer Jury Award and the Architizer Popular Choice Award in the 2020 Best Institutional Building category.

Once again, the Crystalzoo architecture studio in Alicante has put La Nucia under the international spotlight of modern, sustainable and avant-garde architecture.

In addition, Architizer has included the Lab_Nucia project among the world’s 10 “Best Coworking Spaces”. The prestigious portal has selected Lab_Nucia as one of the best office space proposals, considering it “a window onto the post-pandemic future.”

Architizer has also distinguished this building as one of the best institutional projects. The town of La Nucia needed to create a space that would be a catalyst for attracting and retaining corporate talent.

The building resembles a child’s paper Fortune-Teller game, with a surprise inside: a yellow origami interior reveals the main social interaction space on and around the stadium-type staircase.

Each space is designed according to different forms of interaction and work activity conversions, creating links between users and the collaborative spaces in the building. In this way, LAB Nucia’s architecture has an energising impact, acting as an introductory cover letter to all those young entrepreneurs.

The municipal Lab_Nucia coworking building allows the flexible tailoring of spaces according to multifunctional work requirements. This is our way of responding to the changes and variability of alternating work activity, focusing on companies’ current and future demands.
